His critics will warn ominously that Patel would turn the FBI upside down.

As well he should.

The FBI’s decent, diligent field agents might be the people most betrayed by their bosses in Washington, D.C. The bureau’s leftist command clique has abused its infinite police powers to oppress Trump and his advisers, supporters, and those who jeopardize liberal priorities.

For nine years, top FBI officials have perpetrated the inappropriate, the illegal, and the unconstitutional:

  • The FBI spied on Trump’s 2016 campaign, starting with advisers Carter Page and George Papadopoulos. […]

Jimmy Carter and the Unraveling of American Culture https://right.report/jimmy-carter-and-the-unraveling-of-american-culture/ https://right.report/jimmy-carter-and-the-unraveling-of-american-culture/#respond Thu, 09 Jan 2025 03:53:50 +0000 https://right.report/jimmy-carter-and-the-unraveling-of-american-culture/ An essay appeared recently in The Wall Street Journal under the headline “What Happens When a Whole Generation Never Grows Up?”

Behavior that has always been understood to define what it means to be an adult is disappearing among America’s younger generations.

Institutions always seen as the sinews that define and hold together a society–homeownership, marriage, children–no longer can be taken for granted.

Per the essay, median age for first-time homebuyers is at an all-time high: 38. In 1981, it was 29.

Around half of Americans between 30 and 40 are married, compared to two-thirds in 1990. […]

Trump Makes Key Endorsement in House Speaker Race https://right.report/breaking-trump-makes-key-endorsement-in-house-speaker-race/ https://right.report/breaking-trump-makes-key-endorsement-in-house-speaker-race/#respond Mon, 30 Dec 2024 18:01:33 +0000 https://right.report/breaking-trump-makes-key-endorsement-in-house-speaker-race/ President-elect Donald Trump endorsed House Speaker Mike Johnson for another round as leader of the House of Representatives Monday.

Conservatives had wondered if Trump would oppose Johnson’s bid after the president-elect effectively killed the first massive spending bill to fund the government earlier this month.

“We are the Party of COMMON SENSE, a primary reason that we WON, in a landslide, the magnificent and historic Presidential Election of 2024,” Trump began in a post on Truth Social.

The president-elect celebrated the fact that he won every swing state, 312 Electoral College votes, and more votes than Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee.

“LETS NOT BLOW THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY WHICH WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN,” Trump added. “The American people need IMMEDIATE relief from all of the destructive policies of the last Administration. Speaker Mike Johnson is a good, hard working, religious man. He will do the right thing, and we will continue to WIN. Mike has my Complete & Total Endorsement. MAGA!!!” […]

Defenders of Trans Athletes’ Invasion of Women’s Sports Need to See This New Documentary https://right.report/defenders-of-trans-athletes-invasion-of-womens-sports-need-to-see-this-new-documentary/ https://right.report/defenders-of-trans-athletes-invasion-of-womens-sports-need-to-see-this-new-documentary/#respond Sun, 29 Dec 2024 19:45:15 +0000 https://right.report/defenders-of-trans-athletes-invasion-of-womens-sports-need-to-see-this-new-documentary/ What do Charlie Baker, president of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and Washington Post sports columnist Sally Jenkins have in common?

They’re both in deep denial about the inherent unfairness of transgender faux females competing in collegiate (and, by extension, high school) athletics against real girls and women. Apparently, like Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, neither Baker nor Jenkins is “a biologist” or they would know better.

But now, better late than never, even the Biden administration—the foremost cheerleader for transgenderism, not only in athletics but in all its forms—has capitulated on the issue.

President Joe Biden’s Department of Education on Dec. 20 withdrew a proposed rule that would have prohibited schools from barring transgender athletic interlopers from joining teams that comport with their gender identity, rather than their biological sex.

Three days earlier, Baker, a former RINO Republican governor of Massachusetts, testified at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. Although the hearing was nominally about legalized sports gambling, news accounts focused instead on how Baker was excoriated by two Republicans—Sens. Josh Hawley of Missouri and John Kennedy of Louisiana—over the NCAA’s cavalier attitude about allowing transgender “women” to wreak havoc in girls and women’s athletics. […]

Defunding Planned Parenthood Is a Matter of Life and Death for Black America https://right.report/defunding-planned-parenthood-is-a-matter-of-life-and-death-for-black-america/ https://right.report/defunding-planned-parenthood-is-a-matter-of-life-and-death-for-black-america/#respond Sat, 28 Dec 2024 11:15:29 +0000 https://right.report/defunding-planned-parenthood-is-a-matter-of-life-and-death-for-black-america/ The prospect that American taxpayers, who morally object to abortion, may no longer be forced to fund Planned Parenthood when President-elect Donald Trump returns to the White House, feels promising this time around. And according to Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk, the newly slated Department of Government Efficiency advisory committee just might lead the charge to do so.

While Trump’s first administration had similar advantages in that Republicans held a governing majority and will soon again, previous pro-life attempts to remove the abortion stain from our federal budget could not overcome the Democratic Party’s resistance.

That resistance was tied to black support, but it no longer looks the same. Given how more blacks voted Republican in the last presidential race than in recent previous years, it seems to indicate a shift is taking place where many in black America view Democratic policies less favorably.

This makes sense. After all, try as it may to shake off its vile past, the Democratic Party has a dark history that is tied to the Ku Klux Klan founding, when it wanted to retaliate against President Ulysses S. Grant and the Republicans’ reconstruction policies meant to establish equality for blacks in the South.

Given this, it’s a wonder how Democratic leaders have kept up the facade hailing themselves as the leading defender of blacks, especially when in reality the party’s policies destroy black lives; literally, when it comes to Planned Parenthood, the Democratic Party’s Siamese twin. […]

Democrats Still Don’t Get it on Transgenderism https://right.report/democrats-still-dont-get-it-on-transgenderism/ https://right.report/democrats-still-dont-get-it-on-transgenderism/#respond Wed, 25 Dec 2024 01:13:01 +0000 https://right.report/democrats-still-dont-get-it-on-transgenderism/ With apologies to Shakespeare’s Queen Gertrude in “Hamlet”: The congressman doth protest too much, methinks.

Rep. Seth Moulton is none too happy about coming under fire from his fellow Massachusetts Democrats for his candid postelection assessment of the electoral problems his party faces because of its unbending embrace of identity politics, especially the transgender agenda.

Moulton suggested in an interview with The New York Times shortly after the Nov. 5 elections—which saw Republicans win the presidency and both houses of Congress—that Democrats would benefit from a course correction on transgender issues.

“Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone, rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face,” he said. “I have two little girls. I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat, I’m supposed to be afraid to say that.”

Not wanting his young daughters having their rights trampled by delusional faux females is the totally understandable response of a protective parent. But Moulton’s remarks drew immediate fire from many of his fellow Bay State Democrats, including the mayor of Salem, Massachusetts, where he lives. […]

IRS Whistleblowers Push Forward on Defamation Case Against Hunter Biden’s Lawyer https://right.report/irs-whistleblowers-push-forward-on-defamation-case-against-hunter-bidens-lawyer/ https://right.report/irs-whistleblowers-push-forward-on-defamation-case-against-hunter-bidens-lawyer/#respond Fri, 20 Dec 2024 14:20:25 +0000 https://right.report/irs-whistleblowers-push-forward-on-defamation-case-against-hunter-bidens-lawyer/ The drama and legal saga adjacent to Hunter Biden’s conduct isn’t over yet.

Lawyers for the two IRS whistleblowers in his tax evasion case contend it would be bad news for future whistleblowers if their defamation case against the prominent lawyer for President Joe Biden’s son is dismissed.

In what was likely a reference to the elder Biden’s recent pardon of his son, their 58-page response Wednesday to a motion to dismiss their $20 million defamation case says: “Plaintiffs seek no pardon because they committed no crimes. They merely seek to restore their reputations after Lowell so blithely tarnished them.”

Biden pardoned his 54-year-old son in a surprise move Dec. 1 after he had been convicted, but not yet sentenced, on gun charges in Delaware and tax charges in California.

In mid-November, Abbe Lowell, the younger Biden’s lawyer, filed a motion to dismiss the defamation lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. […]

Tom Homan Tells Tucker Carlson He ‘Used to Respect’ Mayorkas https://right.report/tom-homan-tells-tucker-carlson-he-used-to-respect-mayorkas/ https://right.report/tom-homan-tells-tucker-carlson-he-used-to-respect-mayorkas/#respond Fri, 20 Dec 2024 14:12:29 +0000 https://right.report/tom-homan-tells-tucker-carlson-he-used-to-respect-mayorkas/ During the Obama administration, Alejandro Mayorkas and Tom Homan had a positive working relationship. Not so much now.

Mayorkas, then director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and Homan, then associate director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, largely appeared to agree on immigration policy, as Homan recalls.

“I used to respect him,” Homan, tapped by President-elect Donald Trump to crack down on illegal immigration as border czar, said of Mayorkas during an interview Wednesday night with commentator Tucker Carlson.

“Under President Obama, I got a Presidential Rank Award … because I oversaw the removal of well over a million aliens during that three-year period,” Homan said on “The Tucker Carlson Show.”

“Mayorkas actually accompanied me on operations in New York City, targeting criminal aliens and illegal aliens both,” he added. […]

It’s Time for a National Conversation About Left-Wing Violence https://right.report/its-time-for-a-national-conversation-about-left-wing-violence/ https://right.report/its-time-for-a-national-conversation-about-left-wing-violence/#respond Mon, 16 Dec 2024 11:42:37 +0000 https://right.report/its-time-for-a-national-conversation-about-left-wing-violence/ Even before we knew the targeted killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson by Luigi Mangione was politically motivated, many leftists were justifying, celebrating, and rationalizing the shooting. There’s a real debate going on in some quarters of the progressive Left over whether slaying CEOs is a bad thing. And it’s unsurprising.

Of course, if any MAGA professors or journalists were online publicly defending the killing of perceived political enemies, there would be thousands of wringing hands lamenting the menacing rhetoric of conservatism. And rightly so.

But the unhinged demonization of the health care insurance industry, the pharmaceutical industry, and Big Oil are now the norm. A generation of college students has been indoctrinated into believing the profit motive is killing people when the opposite is true.

And there’s a clear ideological continuum between those who rationalize the shooting of a CEO and rationalize the murder and rape of Jews by Palestinian terrorists and rationalize the burning down of cities for “social justice.”

One expects Mangione’s writing will be largely indistinguishable from what a person hears from elected progressives and pundits. Yet few will ponder why a seemingly rational Ivy League-educated engineer decided to become a hitman. […]

The Stench of BO: Barack Obama’s Mystique a Casualty of the Election https://right.report/the-stench-of-bo-barack-obamas-mystique-a-casualty-of-the-election/ https://right.report/the-stench-of-bo-barack-obamas-mystique-a-casualty-of-the-election/#respond Sun, 15 Dec 2024 05:32:38 +0000 https://right.report/the-stench-of-bo-barack-obamas-mystique-a-casualty-of-the-election/ Former President Barack Obama had long been rumored as the catalyst for the 2020 Joe Biden nomination—and thereafter played the whispering puppeteer behind the subsequent lost Biden administration years.

As such, he and his coterie proved to be the virtual architects of the Biden administration, one of the most unpopular and failed presidencies in American history.

Recall earlier that after a flailing candidate Biden lost the first three 2020 primaries and caucuses, his inert campaign was headed nowhere.

Obama and fellow Democratic insiders abruptly engineered the withdrawal of his rival 2020 presidential candidates: hard-left but likely sure-loser candidates, including Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Pete Buttigieg.

The Obamas ignored or withheld from the public their own firsthand knowledge that Biden was suffering from signs of dementia. […]
