While it may seem unassuming from the outside, the small yet powerful trailer from Altitude Water is offering an unconventional form of aid. “Typically, after a disaster, we bring in bottled water or treat contaminated groundwater. But there’s pure, natural water in the air all around us,” said Zappy Zapolin, the founder of the Mind Army.

Zappy explained that the idea of converting humidity into drinkable water emerged a few years ago. It was first used to support recovery efforts during the Maui wildfires, and now it’s being deployed to assist the community in Perry, Florida. From there, the team plans to head north to Asheville, North Carolina.
