Nearly Every House Democrat Votes Against Bill to Protect Women’s Sports

Nearly every House Democrat voted to block the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act on Tuesday. Despite the overwhelming opposition from Democrats, the bill passed the House with Republican support.

This landmark legislation amends Title IX so that protections are recognized based on sex rather than the gender identity an individual claims to adopt. The bill was brought forth to confront the increasing concern surrounding male athletes who identify as transgender and then compete in women’s sports.

‘Men are men, women are women, and men cannot become women. … It’s just that simple.’

The bill states that any federally funded sports program “designated for women or girls” that allows “a person whose sex is male to participate” will be in violation of the law. The legislation goes on to clarify that “sex shall be recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.”

The bill passed with the support of 216 Republicans and just two Democrats, Reps. Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez. There were 206 Democrats who voted against the bill. […]

Dan Bongino is a former Secret Service agent. So in terms of assessing threats on the president’s life, he’s an expert.

Which is why Liz Wheeler of “The Liz Wheeler Show” believes President-elect Donald Trump should heed Bongino’s latest warning — which is that he doesn’t believe it’s safe for Trump to be holding a pre-inauguration rally.

“This guy knows what he’s talking about. He understands that the threats against President Trump aren’t going away. They’re not stopping just because President Trump won. We didn’t entirely defeat the left, we defeated them for the presidency, and that’s great,” Wheeler says.

The rally is reportedly going to be “gigantic” and is taking place in Washington, D.C.

“Don’t get me wrong, it sounds awesome. It sounds fun. It sounds like the type of energy, which is probably for the history books,” Wheeler says. “But Dan Bongino says, ‘Listen to me, the left is not going to stop their attacks on the president just because he won the election.’” […]

Mark Levin says that the notion of birthright citizenship — the idea that if you’re born in the United States, you’re a citizen — is a sham and always has been.

Many people believe that birthright citizenship is in our Constitution, but they are wrong. Democrats and the media claim it comes from the 14th Amendment specifically, but they’re lying.

“It’s not in the Constitution. … It’s not in any of the legislative history for the 14th Amendment. … It’s not in the 1866 Civil Rights Act,” Levin explains.

The 14th Amendment “was intended to ensure that black people were emancipated in every respect and citizens of the United States. It had nothing to do with immigration, legal or illegal,” he adds. […]

If there’s one thing Donald Trump understands, it’s the art of the deal. The architect of America’s new political realignment saw the value that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his broad coalition of voters brought to the table. So he invited them to join his campaign. It worked. That partnership led to a historic win that gave the Republican Party a rare “trifecta,” control over the White House, the House, and the Senate. It also gave the GOP a mandate to deliver on the MAGA agenda.

But what about the “Make America Healthy Again” agenda?

RFK has already committed to put in place the same set of historic pro-life policies that President Trump implemented during his first term.

And one of those goals is to revitalize the American family. I recently misplaced my wallet. Reasonably certain it was in the house somewhere and would turn up, I didn’t bother canceling my cards.

Other than the nagging worry that I was wrong, I was surprised at how little this inconvenienced me. Not only do most of my day-to-day transactions not require cash, plastic cards are also rarely needed. Just a wave of my phone suffices.

I suppose some ‘junk silver’ (US coins from 1964 or earlier, when they contained 90% silver) would come in handy, but everything in my loose change jar is of a newer vintage.

What will they think of next? Some kind of mark on your right hand or forehead?

Utah Governor Spencer Cox (R) pledged to assist President-elect Donald Trump with his plan to launch the largest deportation effort in the country’s history.

Cox announced a five-point initiative last month to increase the state’s coordination with federal immigration officials amid reports that the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua has spread to parts of Utah.

‘Federal immigration authorities have failed in their duty to the American people.’

Last week, Cox told KUED, “We’re going to start with criminals, people who are breaking the law and causing harm to Americans. That’s where we have to start. Let’s get the worst element out. Let’s focus there. That’s something we haven’t been able to do, and the backlog is ridiculous.”

Cox stated that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is “broken” under the Biden administration. […]

Republicans Reportedly Planning to Follow Through on Matt Gaetz Threat to Expose Sex Harassment Hush Fund for Congress

A group of Republicans is reportedly planning to follow through on a threat against members of Congress after they voted to release a report of sex trafficking allegations against former Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida.

Gaetz resigned his seat in the U.S. House after members of Congress expressed angst at his nomination for U.S. Attorney General by President-elect Donald Trump. Gaetz withdrew his nomination and later accepted the offer to host a show on OANN.

‘All your sexual harassment and assault claims that were secretly settled paying off victims with taxpayer money.’

Now a plan to expose other members of Congress with sexual harassment accusations is coming together in the wake of the Gaetz debacle, according to Politico.

Some Republicans want to release information to the public about a slush fund to pay out hush money to accusers of members of Congress. Politico claims to have obtained a draft version of the legislation being composed in that effort. […]

Putin Signals Opening for Trump to Make Good on Major Campaign Promise About Ukraine

President-elect Donald Trump repeatedly suggested on the campaign trail that if elected, he would resolve the war between Russia and Ukraine. Critics, including so-called fact-checkers, suggested that it couldn’t be done or that doing so would require unthinkable concessions on Kyiv’s part.

Notwithstanding the nay-saying from the so-called experts, it appears that Trump might be able to make good on this major campaign promise after all. Putin, whose economy is apparently “overheating,” told reporters Thursday that he was “ready to meet [Trump] if he wants it” and that he was open to making compromises at the negotiating table.

After meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trump told reporters in September, “I think I haven’t changed from the standpoint that we both want to see it end and a fair deal made. It’s gonna be fair. I think it will happen at the right time. I think it is going to happen.”

“This is a war that should have never happened. It should have never happened, and it wouldn’t have happened. It’s a shame,” said Trump. “We’ll get it solved. It’s a very complicated puzzle, very complicated puzzle, but we’ll get it solved, and people [will] get on with their lives. Too many people dead.”

Reuters indicated in late November — around the time President Joe Biden authorized Ukraine’s use of American-made long-range missile systems against targets in Russia — that Putin was keen to discuss a ceasefire in Ukraine with Trump, especially since he would be negotiating from a place of strength, having made significant advances in Ukraine at a pace unparalleled since the early days of his invasion. MAGA Allies Join DOGE Pile Against Speaker Johnson’s Funding Bill

Since Speaker Mike Johnson unveiled his 1,547-page funding bill Tuesday evening, several of President-elect Donald Trump’s allies have led a pressure campaign to tank the continuing resolution.

Johnson’s CR has been the focal point of scrutiny from lawmakers and MAGA allies alike, with tech mogul Elon Musk and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy siding against the bill. With Musk and Ramaswamy jointly heading the Department of Government Efficiency in the incoming Trump administration, much of their criticism revolves around the bill’s price tag.

‘Nearly everyone agrees we need a smaller & more streamlined federal government, but actions speak louder than words. This is an early test. The bill should fail.’

Musk has referred to Johnson’s CR as a “steal of your tax dollars” and labeled the bill “criminal.”

Mitch McConnell’s Jaw-Dropping Insinuation About the MAGA Movement

In the aftermath of President-elect Donald Trump’s landslide victory, former Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell compared the MAGA movement to American isolationists in the 1930s, insinuating that Trump would have been indifferent to the fascist uprising in Europe at the time.

Trump, whose foreign policy is far more hands-off than McConnell’s hawkish approach, is fundamentally at odds with the former leader’s geopolitical worldview. Consequently, McConnell spoke about the current state of foreign affairs and said it was “reminiscent” of the times leading up to World War II, criticizing American isolationists from both today and nearly a century ago.

It all comes down to McConnell and money. McConnell has greenlit over $170 billion to Ukraine, while Trump has repeatedly called for an end to the war altogether.

“We’re in a very, very dangerous world right now, reminiscent of before World War II,” McConnell said. “Even the slogan is the same. ‘America First.’ That was what they said in the ’30s.”

McConnell has famously been a thorn in Trump’s side and has been a staunch critic of the president-elect, both on and off the record. He reiterated his opposition to Trump and said he intends to push back on him and the incoming administration. […]
