“They had learned nothing and forgotten nothing.” – Often attributed to Charles-Maurice de Talleyrand

The Democratic election postmortem immediately descended into public blame-gaming—as expected. When Joe Biden was forced off the ticket in late July, the conspirators issued a party line that he was to be praised as a veritable George Washington—in the spirit of Washington’s farewell address of 1796 about why it was a good thing for the first president not to run for a third term.

So, we were lied to that Joe, the sitting President of the United States, was not forced out by Nancy Pelosi, the Obamas, George Clooney and the celebs, and the billionaire class. We instead were lectured that Biden, magnanimously as the neo-father of our country, selflessly bowed out to ensure Kamala Harris’s elevation as the nominee and, with it, a sure Democratic victory.

But now? After the Democratic train wreck, half the party is suddenly damning George Washington Joe for sticking around too long, even though party grandees cooked up the scheme in the first place of nominating the cognitively challenged Biden in 2020 to shut out his radical (and supposedly unelectable) primary rivals. Two seats have still not been called. Republican Dave McCormick has led his race since Election Day in Pennsylvania. He currently a 39,000 ballot lead in the Keystone State.

Kari Lake is still fighting in Arizona to defeat the open-border communist Ruben Gallego. President Trump easily took Arizona this year over Kamala Harris by six percentage points and 185,000 votes. But we are all supposed to believe that the same voters who chose Donald Trump then switched their down-ballot and voted for the open-border communist!? Obviously, Arizona is up to its old tricks again.

It was not an easy run for Kari Lake and several other Republicans. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell did not share any donations with Kari Lake, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, or Florida Senator Rick Scott. Instead, McConnell blew millions on Trump-hater Larry Hogan who was wiped out in Maryland. Mitch McConnell is not on our side.

Then, last week, McConnell called for a closed-door secret leadership vote for Senate Republicans this coming Wednesday. McConnell made the call before all of the votes were even counted.

Three Republicans have tossed their name into the ring. Senator Rick Scott, a MAGA Republican and former businessman. John Thune, a faithful lackey of Mitch McConnell and a war-pig. And John Cornyn who is an outspoken dolt and war-pig. […]

The Wall Street actor appeared Friday on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, where the episode revolved almost entirely on Trump’s stunning victory over Kamala Harris.

Michael Douglas, who is a longtime supporter of Democrat candidates, was clearly upset over Trump’s win.

“Wednesday morning, I was just so pissed at this razor thin race, right? It was going to be so close, you know, with all these polls — and it’s a wipeout,” Douglas said, adding that he later spent the day playing golf.

He said Democrats lost the election over the economy. […]

Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., a guest on Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream, said his voice and tens of millions of other Americans’ voices were ignored, suppressed and disenfranchised in this year’s presidential election. He announced in October 2023 that he was entering the Democratic primary race against President Joe Biden and in November that he was giving up his House seat after three terms. He said his voice was ignored.

Phillips was one of a very few Democrats who called on Biden to drop out of the race and make room for a new generation, months before that actually happened. “My voice, yes, was ignored, but tens of millions of Americans’ voices were ignored and suppressed and disenfranchised,” Phillips said, according to The Hill.

“I was not the only one that recognized what was likely to happen last week. I was the only one that was willing to say it live, and I think it is that culture of silence and pervasive incentives in our political system that is really costing our country and it’s not unique to one party or the other,” he said.

“No party has monopoly on ideas and I’m one of those getting sick and tired of it, trying to represent what I call the exhausted majority, center right, center left Americans who deserve better,” he said. […]

Saturday saw another day of rage and finger-pointing among Democrats after the crushing Election Day loss delivered to Vice President Kamala Harris by now-President-elect Donald Trump.

What was primarily rage against the American people for being too “stupid” to support Harris has now morphed into an intra-party circular firing squad, replete with plenty of angry finger-pointing.

Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who’s as left-wing as they come, issued a blistering statement on Wednesday, the day after the election. Sanders not only blamed Harris’ “disastrous” campaign for the historic loss; he also accused the Democrats of “abandoning working-class people.”

Sanders posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the historic loss should “come as no great surprise” after substantial numbers of working-class voters — first the white working class and then the Latino and black working classes — looked to Trump for help. That demonstrable reality drives the Democrat clown car absolutely insane. […]

J.B. Pritzker launched Think Big America, a nonprofit focused on expanding access to abortion in states across the country. It’s part of his broader mission of “combating far-right extremism.”

Think Big invested millions of dollars advocating for abortion ballot initiatives in eight states. Of the eight states, South Dakota, Nebraska and Florida rejected the initiatives this election cycle.

“People felt like their reproductive rights were under attack and so there were a lot of people who showed up to vote around that issue and I am proud to say the organization I founded, Think Big America, we won the vast majority of the referenda across the country that protected women’s reproductive rights,” Pritzker said.

Millions were spent on Arizona’s, Florida’s and Nevada’s ballot initiatives. Thousands were spent on Montana’s, Maryland’s, South Dakota’s, Nebraska’s and Missouri’s abortion initiatives.

Illinois Family Institute Executive Director David Smith said the pro-abortion movement is not an organic movement of ordinary women. […]

Byron Donalds Says FEMA Should Be Ripped Out of DHS, Report Directly to White House https://right.report/byron-donalds-says-fema-should-be-ripped-out-of-dhs-report-directly-to-white-house/ https://right.report/byron-donalds-says-fema-should-be-ripped-out-of-dhs-report-directly-to-white-house/#respond Mon, 11 Nov 2024 08:38:01 +0000 https://right.report/byron-donalds-says-fema-should-be-ripped-out-of-dhs-report-directly-to-white-house/ In response to The Daily Wire’s reporting that a supervisor at FEMA ordered relief workers to skip houses with signs supporting President-elect Donald Trump in Florida, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) said the agency should be torn out of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and report directly to the White House.

FEMA has fired the official, identified as Marn’i Washington, after The Daily Wire revealed through messages and whistleblowers that she told federal employees under her supervision to “avoid homes advertising Trump” as they canvassed Lake Placid, Florida, to identify residents who could qualify for federal aid during a of the damage caused by Hurricane Milton last month.

“I want to make sure I ask you about something reported by The Daily Wire,” “Fox News Sunday” anchor Shannon Bream said during an interview with Donalds that aired on Sunday. “They broke a story a couple of days ago about FEMA. My home state, as well as where you serve — Florida — and your district has been hit very hard by numerous big storms the last couple of years. Daily Wire [was] reporting that people were told when they’re out canvassing in central Florida looking for people who may need help, that FEMA workers were told to avoid homes that had Trump symbols or Trump flags.”

Bream noted that FEMA responded to The Daily Wire’s reporting, saying, “We are horrified that this took place and therefore have taken extreme actions to correct the situation…” Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis “says he’s launching an investigation there,” she added. “What extreme actions do you think should be taken? Is that something Congress gets involved with?” Bream asked.

“Anybody involved with that should be fired immediately, not asked to resign, not brought in front of a congressional hearing, they should be fired immediately,” Donalds exclaimed. “We are not going to have a country where we’re going to decide who gets help and … who doesn’t based upon who you support politically or what you look like or anything else.” […]

Bernie Sanders Rips Establishment Dems as Knives Come Out Following Kamala’s Defeat https://right.report/bernie-sanders-rips-establishment-dems-as-knives-come-out-following-kamalas-defeat/ https://right.report/bernie-sanders-rips-establishment-dems-as-knives-come-out-following-kamalas-defeat/#respond Mon, 11 Nov 2024 07:16:18 +0000 https://right.report/bernie-sanders-rips-establishment-dems-as-knives-come-out-following-kamalas-defeat/ Two-time presidential candidate Bernie Sanders (I-VT) ripped the Democratic Party for being out of touch with working class voters as different factions of the left-wing coalition continue to point fingers at eachother following Trump’s historic comeback victory.

“It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them,” Sanders wrote in a post-election X post. “While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.”

In an accompanying press release, Sanders noted that low income and middle class Americans had consistently expressed dissatisfaction with the state of the economy and the nation’s overall track. CNN’s Election Day exit polls found that more than 70 percent of Americans overall expressed a negative view of the nation’s economic state. The progressive leader further noted that out of control inflation has massively decreased the earning potential for the majority of Americans, though he was not saying any of this before the election and endorsed the Harris-Walz ticket.

“Today, despite an explosion in technology and worker productivity, many young people will have a worse standard of living than their parents. And many of them worry that Artificial Intelligence and robotics will make a bad situation even worse,” Sanders continued.

“Will the big money interests and well-paid consultants who control the Democratic Party learn any real lessons from this disastrous campaign? Will they understand the pain and political alienation that tens of millions of Americans are experiencing?” […]

David Axelrod complains Dems have become party of ‘suburban, college-educated smarty-pants’ https://right.report/david-axelrod-complains-dems-have-become-party-of-suburban-college-educated-smarty-pants/ https://right.report/david-axelrod-complains-dems-have-become-party-of-suburban-college-educated-smarty-pants/#respond Mon, 11 Nov 2024 07:07:21 +0000 https://right.report/david-axelrod-complains-dems-have-become-party-of-suburban-college-educated-smarty-pants/ CNN contributor and former Barack Obama chief strategist David Axelrod has warned that the Democratic Party is losing its connection with working-class voters. Speaking with Anderson Cooper on CNN, Axelrod admitted that the party has increasingly become a “smarty pants, suburban, college-educated party,” a shift he believes contributed to Donald Trump’s crushing victory over the Democrats.

Axelrod expressed concern about the Democratic Party’s approach to working-class voters, pointing out that the only group Democrats gained during this election was white college graduates who make over a hundred thousand dollars a year. He stressed that this demographic shift poses a major problem for future elections.

He argued that Democrats must change how they relate to working people, criticizing what he described as a “missionary” approach. “You can’t win national elections that way and it certainly shouldn’t be that way for a party that fashions itself as the party of working people,” he explained.

While Axelrod credited President Biden for “doing programmatically good things for working people,” he said the Democratic Party has “increasingly become a smarty pants, suburban, college-educated party and it lends itself to the kind of backlash that we’ve seen.”

Earlier in the week, Axelrod attributed Kamala Harris’s overwhelming loss to President-elect Trump partly to “racism” and “sexism,” but now appears to be reflecting on broader issues within the party. Several left-leaning commentators have also pointed out the major gains Trump and the Republican Party made among key demographics. Trump has an overwhelming amount of support from male voters and outperformed past GOP nominees among black, Hispanic, and Asian voters. […]

Young Black and Latino Men Reveal Why They Flocked to Trump in 2024 https://right.report/young-black-and-latino-men-reveal-why-they-flocked-to-trump-in-2024/ https://right.report/young-black-and-latino-men-reveal-why-they-flocked-to-trump-in-2024/#respond Mon, 11 Nov 2024 06:58:31 +0000 https://right.report/young-black-and-latino-men-reveal-why-they-flocked-to-trump-in-2024/ Brian Leija, a 31-year-old small-business owner from Belton, Texas, was not surprised that a growing number of Latino men of his generation voted for Donald Trump for president this year. Leija voted for the Republican in 2016 and 2020.

Leija’s rationale was simple: He said he has benefited from Trump’s economic policies, especially tax cuts.

“I am a blue-collar worker,” Leija said. “So, tax breaks for small businesses are ideal for what I do.”

For DaSean Gallisaw, a consultant in Fairfax, Virginia, a vote for Trump was rooted in what he saw as Democrats’ rhetoric not matching their actions. “It’s been a very long time since the Democrats ever really kept their promises to what they’re going to do for the minority communities,” he said.

Gallishaw, 25, who is black, also voted for Trump twice before. This year, he said, he thought the former president’s “minority community outreach really showed up.” […]
