Ahead of his inauguration next week, President-elect Donald Trump is signaling plans to terminate certain green energy initiatives, with unsightly wind farms evidently at the top of the list.
In the past windmills have been a frequent target of the incoming president, and he again sounded off on them Wednesday on Truth Social, writing, “Windmills are an economic and environmental disaster.”
The president-elect shared his sentiments alongside a July 2024 report on Nantucket beach closures after shattered fiberglass shards of a destroyed offshore wind farm began washing ashore.
